thankful

it's been a very very fulfilling week!!! i actually had quite a lot to blog about but i was too tired to do anything the past few days so here's a cumulative post.

first up, orientation!!! can't believe orientation is over so quickly. short but sweet, i guess. been rly blessed to have bw03 as my one and only set of oglings they are an extremely fun and cute bunch!!! this is the first time i've led a group and not ditched them for another group/my own friends or anything. this time i really committed myself to make my og work and i'm glad it did!!! they're very tight now and ryan see even posted a photo and said 'why do i have a feeling we are going to last for a really loooong time' and shermaine commented 'cos we are' :') touched by these little ones and am thankful for all the joy they've brought me!!! sad to have to part ways with them now and go back to my sedentary lifestyle but glad that they are self sufficient and are going to have so much more fun together :) very thankful for louisa too!!! thankful to ryan sim for being so kind and putting me with her despite my endless demands for this and that :) 

also i am thankful for war games this is a place i didn't expect myself gonig into at all. given the high demand for war i put it as my first choice without expecting it since they'd choose all the fierce people or at least people in sports ccas. but poof i am inside because of some lame rule that they can only take 1 person per house d. by God's grace 5/8 of my house d is in ocomm and the other 2 are not in orientation so tada i secured my way in. we may not be as bonded as snd or storyline or what but i'm glad to say that we are a fun bunch! never dreaded going for war because war is fun and the people are even more fun. hehe. i'll always remember our extremely impromptu sleepover on monday which was decided at 7pm and we met at 11pm that very night. spontaneity at its maximum and i love spontaneity!! thankful for those who went like shiqing joshua nich edgar jack xianjun thankful for that fun night where i kept winning card games for some weird reason although you guys keep calling me blonde. and i admit that night i was really quite blonde idk why maybe i was just tired. but thanks for tolerating my nonsense!! sorry for being a burden and drying hair at 3am when some of u were crashing. thanks to all the other war people too i'm glad to have got to known u guys and thanks for camwhoring with me :)))))) so proud of us when people say that their favourite part of orientation is war!!! it's like our hard work has paid off, despite having to cut fun games and redoing logs and all. :) 

also glad to have met all the miscellaneous people during orientation, like shuyun heheh thanks for being my dance partner although i totally suck at the batch dance!!! you're such a bimbo but i like how we can relate and laugh at the same things and like to take photos at totally random places like doing the heart pose photo in the middle of oglings dancing + on war grounds. and the storyline people who friendlily welcome me whenever i crash storyline heheh. 

heroes was another success!!!!!!!!!!! was very apprehensive right up till the afternoon itself because everything was so messy and we were low on manpower and all. station masters were so disorganised and i didn't know what to because the other comm members weren't around and i had to do everything myself?? felt a bit like campaigning period again lolz but thankful for supportive council friends and other heroes who volunteered to be station masters, some even on the spot. thanks kimchia and zuomin esp for giving us advice and helping us analyse problems calmly so that we could solve things quickly and efficiently. in the end some games couldn't even be played due to lack of time (zzzz waste our effort) but what's most important is that the herolings and heroes enjoyed themselves and bonded :) was very heartwarming to see the programme go by smoothly. didn't get to spend time with my own herolings but i'm glad they talked to each other hehehe. 

and last but not least fad+vday

and take 5!!!! spent the night before baking at kokky kok's house!! finally got to visit the famous kok house hehe. we baked the bai se lian ren jap biscuit thing and it turned out nice hehehe. super buttery and chocolately but damn good. woohoo!! got to bond with the girls too i love 6Girls we are fun and supportive and all i love pe lessons and other girl activities with you guys :) to think one year ago i thought we wouldn't bond much but look where we are now!!!!! thanks for bringing joy to my horrible school life :) spent the night writing 37 cards for my og and class guys and died shortly after sigh we didn't get to do much during the sleepover :( but glad we had each other's company!! overslept the next day for take5 woke up at freaking 7 when rose was supposed to be at sentosa at 645. cabbed there and reached not that late, even bumped into the councillors on duty who were about to leave too. hurhur. was supposed to spend time with the class but idk why i ended up drifting off to other people, like ilene enqi jon and my small og!! oh well at least i'll get to spend everyday with my class heh. we have so much time together. impromptu meetup with dwee for a short but good catchup hehe she's another of those friends who i don't meet regularly but can talk like nothing's changed whenever we meet!!! 5 years and going hehe. 

special shoutout to jon because he did me an insta post so anyway, thank u for being with me throughout my jc life i wish we met sooner and got close sooner and didn't wait till like may before we became close. but it's been a good 9 months being friends and i am amazed at our friendship hehe. we even became role models for smallies!!!!! but yes i am very thankful for you despite all your rubbish idek why i am so tolerant of it. thanks for being with me in class and especially council, don't know what i'd do without you. here's to many many years to come i hope we remain close and never drift apart!!! thanks for being one of my best friends ever

i'm glad i typed this long long post, because now i can see my life better. there are so many things to be thankful for, so many people to love and be loved by. thank you God for blessing me beyond measure :)
